One engagement, three outcomes

You leave with a company, protected IP and a plan the bank believes.

Most set-up agents sell a licence and a visa. We plan the three things a Canadian business actually needs in the UAE together, so the licence activities match the plan, the IP sits in the right entity, and the bank sees one consistent file.

01

A properly formed UAE company

The right jurisdiction (mainland or free zone), the right legal form and licence activities, visas, Emirates ID, beneficial-owner filings, and corporate-tax and VAT registration.

Company formation →
02

IP protected through the proper channels

A filing route that starts in Canada and extends to the UAE through the treaties both countries belong to, carried out by registered patent and trademark agents.

The IP pathway →
03

A business plan built for the UAE

Not a translated Canadian plan: one that maps your business to UAE licence activities, prices in dirhams, models UAE tax and staffing, and reads the way UAE banks expect.

Why the UAE, why now

One of the most open places in the world to build a company.

The UAE is home to one of the largest Canadian communities in the Middle East. What they usually meet is a set-up market built for other nationalities. We start from where you are.

Of most mainland companies since 2021, and of all free-zone companies.

0% · 9%

Corporate tax

0% up to AED 375,000 of taxable income, 9% above. No personal income tax. VAT 5%.

3

Shared IP treaties

Canada and the UAE are both in the Paris Convention, the PCT and the Madrid Protocol.

What makes us different

Full-depth service for Canadians, at a fixed, published price.

Low-cost agents compete on price. Law firms offer depth at rates most early-stage founders cannot pay. We sit in between.

  • Proper channels only. Licences through DET and the free-zone authorities, IP through registered agents and the official offices. No shortcuts, nominees or “ready-made” companies.
  • Compliance as a feature. Every client is onboarded in person. Banks and authorities receive files that have already been checked, which speeds up account opening.
  • No hidden commissions. We take no fees or commissions from banks, free-zone authorities or other service providers we introduce you to.
  • Life after set-up. Renewals, visas, tax deadlines and beneficial-owner filings continue under an annual care plan, so your company stays in good standing.

The Canadian side does not go away

A UAE company does not by itself take a Canadian out of the Canadian tax system. A UAE company managed from Canada can be resident in Canada; a Canadian resident who controls it may owe tax on its passive income (FAPI) and must file information returns such as Form T1134; leaving Canada can trigger departure tax.

We raise these points at the first meeting and ask you to take Canadian professional advice before the structure is final — from your own CPA or lawyer, or from one of our Canadian partner firms.

Questions Canadians ask

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to come to Dubai?
Yes, for one launch week. Our AML policy requires face-to-face onboarding with original documents, and you need to be in the UAE in any case for the visa medical test and Emirates ID biometrics. We use the week for signing, bank meetings and anything else that goes faster in person.
Mainland or free zone — which is right for me?
It depends on who your customers are, which activities you need, whether you want to trade directly in the UAE market, and your tax position. We decide this in a structure session against your business plan and your Canadian situation, and we form in either: on the Dubai mainland with DET, or as your agent with free zones such as DMCC, DIFC, DIC/DSO or IFZA.
Why do my Canadian documents take so long?
The UAE is not a party to the Apostille Convention. Canadian corporate and personal documents go through notarisation, Global Affairs Canada authentication, legalisation at the UAE Embassy in Ottawa, then attestation by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We start this chain in week 0 because it is often the slowest step.
Will a UAE company reduce my Canadian taxes?
Not automatically, and sometimes not at all. Canadian residence, FAPI and departure-tax rules can apply. We do not give Canadian tax or legal advice; we require you to take it before the structure is final, and we work alongside your Canadian CPA or lawyer.
Do you file my patents and trademarks yourselves?
No. Filings are prepared and made by registered Canadian patent and trademark agents and registered UAE IP agents under partner agreements. We coordinate the project, the ownership documents and every deadline, and confirm them to you in writing.
Can you guarantee a bank account?
No one honestly can — the decision is the bank’s. What we do is prepare a complete, pre-checked KYC file and a bank-ready business plan, and arrange early bank meetings during launch week. We receive no fees or commissions from banks.
